Vela — Community Guidelines

Vela is built to feel calmer and kinder than the usual swipe apps. That only works if everyone helps keep it that way. Here's the deal.

Be real

• Use your own recent photos and your real voice. No fake profiles, stolen photos, or impersonation.
• Everyone here is 18+. No exceptions, and nothing that sexualizes minors — that gets reported and permanently banned.

Be respectful

• Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. No harassment, hate, threats, or discrimination based on who someone is.
• Don't send unsolicited explicit content. Match energy; ask before escalating.
• "No" is a complete sentence. Respect it.

Keep it safe

• Never send money, gift cards, or crypto to someone you met here, and be wary of anyone who asks — or who rushes intimacy and then needs "help." That's the #1 scam pattern.
• Be cautious about moving to other apps too fast. Real people are happy to keep chatting here.
• Meeting up? Pick a public place, tell a friend, and use Vela's date check-in. A quick video call first is a good gut-check.

No spam or solicitation

No advertising, self-promotion, recruiting, or off-platform schemes.

How we enforce

You can report or block anyone, anytime. We use automated screening plus human review. Depending on severity we'll warn, suspend, or permanently ban — and serious cases (especially anything involving minors or threats) may be reported to authorities. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal.
